WSET® Level 1 & 2 Awards in Wines
We are proud to offer WSET®Levels 1 & 2 Awards in Wine at UUNZ in both English and Chinese (with exams available in English and Chinese - Traditional).
Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 Award in Wines
The WSET® Level 1 Award in Wines is an entry level introduction to wine suitable for beginners that are pursuant to an interest in wine. This qualification is a full day course with a practical, hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You will explore the main styles of wine through sight, smell, and taste, also gaining a basic understanding to food and wine pairings. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive an official WSET Certificate and Badge.
- Identify the key stages of grape production including; growing, harvesting, fermentation and production
- Understand the characteristics and styles of wines made from principal grape varieties and regions
- Develop insight to the fundamentals of storage and service of wine.
Programme Learning Hours and Assessment Details
In person, full-day course (9:00am to 6:00pm) incl. 30min, 30 Question Multiple Choice Exam at the end.
Held mostly on weekends (Sat/Sun), exact lesson dates TBA.

The course is inclusive of a total of 11 hours (8 hours of class time and 3 self-directed study hours).
